My reasoning for this cookbook is to provide leaner yet flavorful alternatives to meals, while slowly transitioning to a healthier lifestlye. In Volume 1 we will start by cutting the beef and pork. Once we've gotten that pattern down, we will remove even more meats and begin to make our own sauces, creams, broths, glazes as well as choosing low-fat dairy options and whole grain pastas in Volume 2. We want to reduce the processed and altered foods we intake. There is so much salt and sugar in these items. And finally, the 3rd volume...we will take it there...we will go vegetarian, vegan, and plant-based. Don't be alarmed, you have time. It is a process, so be kind to yourself while learning. We are what we eat, and we could help ourselves lead a more fit life by making some changes that benefit us. It isn't too late. Come, take this journey with me!
